What will I be asked to do?

You will be asked to complete an online survey.  The survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.  The questions can be answered by simply clicking a button.

The survey first asks a few general questions about yourself (e.g. age, education) followed by sections on access to health care, discussing your sexual health with a doctor, and some questions about your sexual behaviour.

The survey is completely anonymous.

What will happen to the information I provide?

None of the information you provide will be identifying. The information will be electronically entered into a password protected group database on the University of Melbourne server.  Only the researchers on the project will have access to this database.  The data will be stored for 5 years after publication as regulated by the National Health and Medical Research Council.  Once all the data are collected and analysed, the website will be taken offline.

The summaries of the data and analysis will be presented at conferences and published in academic journals as well as being written in Cameryn Garrett’s thesis.

How will my confidentiality be protected?

The survey is anonymous.  No identifying information will be collected.
